The appellations in the Médoc

Margaux : the most prestigious of the Médoc appellations stretches over 1400 hectares to offer a red wine of incomparable quality. Thanks to a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, the Margaux appellation offers elegant and refined wines creating a perfect harmony. The Margaux is a tasty wine that can be kept and evolves over time to reveal all its aromas.

Some producers of this appellation : Château Margaux / Château Lascombes / Château Dauzac / Château Kirwan…

Saint-Julien : situated between Margaux and Pauillac, it is the smallest appellation in the Médoc. Despite its small surface area, it has remarkable red wines in an exceptional environmental setting. Rich and aromatic wines perfectly structured with spicy and fruity notes that will delight your palate.

Some producers of this appellation : Château Beychevelle / Château Lagrange / Château Gruaud-Larose…

Pauillac : it is the land of the Grands Crus Classés. Its geographical location gives it optimal climatic conditions allowing it to produce very great wines. You will discover a rich and powerful red wine with exceptional ageing potential.

Some producers of this appellation : Château Lafite-Rothschild / Château Latour / Château Mouton-Rothschild…

Saint-Estèphe : an appellation whose wines reflect the typical terroir of the Médoc region. It is the appellation for lovers of powerful and robust red wines. Its solid character gives it an excellent ageing potential which will allow it to round out after a few years.

Some producers of this appellation : Cos d’Estournel / Château Montrose…

The Graves and Sauternes appellations

Pessac-Léognan : an appellation that owes its letters of nobility to the mythical Château Haut-Brion. Cultivated on gravelly and clayey soil, the red and white wines of this region leave a unique impression on the palate. The powerful and well-balanced Pessac-Léognan red wines with notes of ripe red fruit will surprise you with their elegance. As for the white wines, their freshness and smoothness will not leave you indifferent.

Some producers of this appellation : Château Smith Haut-Lafitte / Château Carbonnieux / Château Latour-Martillac…

Sauternes : considered to be the ultimate in sweet white wines, its aromatic qualities are at the origin of its worldwide reputation. Soft and sweet, this wine with its golden colour will delight your taste buds like no other. It is an ideal wine for aperitif and dessert. Its aromas of honey and candied oranges blend perfectly with foie gras, an unavoidable association.

Some producers of this appellation : Château Guiraud / Château d’Yquem…

The Saint-Emilion appellation and the Entre-Deux-Mers region

Saint-Émilion : a must in the Bordeaux vineyards, the Saint-Émilion appellation covers 5,000 hectares and includes a variety of incredible châteaux ranging from small family estates to grands crus classés. Easily recognisable, Saint-Emilion wines offer fresh and fruity aromas on the palate with spicy notes thanks to a grape variety dominated by Merlot. A must for anyone wishing to discover the richness of Bordeaux wines.

Some producers of this appellation : Château Cheval Blanc / Château Villandraut / Clos Fourtet / Château La Gaffelière…

Entre-Deux-Mers : located between the Garonne and the Dordogne, this vast region of Bordeaux vineyards is ideal for discovering dry white wines, mainly made from the blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon.
